R630 24-Port RAID options

Hello,

I have an R630 24-Port with 12 1.8inch SSD's and I want to add additional storage, but when I add more drives they do not show up inside of the RAID controller BIOS. Do these systems need an extra RAID card to handle the second half of the 24-port backplane? Or is there a cable that I can get to go from the H730P mini to SAS-A, SAS-B, SAS-A1, and SAS-B1

Hello

The 24 slot backplane on the R630 should support zoning. Changing the zoning on a backplane can typically only be done via RACADM commands. You can read more in the OpenManage Server Administrator manual.
